I'm scratching my head on this one. As long as it's not 'C', I think I'll be good. REP segment 3 just sounds like it's asking for trouble.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. Shouldn't we consider REP as well? Adding the links as REP segments could be a good solution too.

I think option A is the way to go. LACP trunk with STP should provide the high bandwidth and low latency connectivity needed for the database replication.
