I'm going with C and E, no doubt. 32 carriers and no power required? Sign me up for that CWDM goodness!

User 2: Definitely, having 32 carriers on one fiber without needing power is a game changer.

Haha, A and B are just trolling us. CWDM is all about that 1550nm band, not the 850nm stuff. And long distances? Nah, that's what DWDM is for.

User 2: Totally agree, and it's not for long distances either. That's DWDM territory.

User 1: Yeah, A and B are definitely misleading. CWDM is all about the 1550nm band.

Hmm, I think C and D are the right choices. CWDM may share the same transmission window as DWDM, but it definitely allows 32 carriers. Who needs optical amplification anyway?

Definitely, C and D are the right choices. CWDM is efficient in allowing multiple carriers without the need for optical amplification.

Yeah, optical amplification is not needed for CWDM. It's great that passive CWDM devices require no electrical power.

C and E are the correct answers. CWDM allows up to 32 optical carriers on a single fiber, and passive CWDM devices don't need electrical power. The other options are incorrect.

I'm not sure about B, though. I think it uses different bands for CWDM.

I agree with you, Ashleigh. I also think E is true because passive CWDM devices don't need power.
