Option B, standalone, for sure. Gotta keep those APs running, even if the control plane is taking a coffee break. Can't have the branch offices going dark, that's just bad for business.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'm hoping the answer isn't 'disconnect all the APs and send them on vacation until the WAN is back up.' That would be a bit extreme, even for a networking exam.

I'm going with B, standalone. Sounds like the APs need to be able to function independently, like little networking heroes saving the day when the WAN goes down.

Standalone mode, that's the one! This must be a common issue in Cisco WLAN deployments, so the engineers have probably got a good solution for it.

Hmm, the WAN failure scenario sounds like a tricky one. I'm thinking option B, standalone, might be the way to go since it allows the APs to keep operating even if the CAPWAP tunnel is down.

True, standalone mode does offer more flexibility in case of a WAN failure.

I think option B is still the better choice because standalone mode provides more flexibility.

But wouldn't option A, disconnected, also work since it allows the APs to operate independently?

I agree, option B, standalone, seems like the best choice in this situation.

I'm not sure, but I think lightweight mode might also work in this scenario.

I agree with Dominque, because standalone mode allows the APs to remain operational even if the control plane CAPWAP tunnel is down.
