I bet the assembly workers are having a field day with this question. They're probably sitting there, munching on their factory-made lunches, laughing at the rest of us.
Well, it's pretty obvious that the assembly workers on the production line are direct labor. They're the ones actually putting the laptops together, so that has to be the right answer.
I'm not sure, but I think C) A stores assistant in the factory store could also be considered direct labor since they are directly involved in the manufacturing process.
