Option B, .exe? I guess you could try to run the network capture as a program, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to work. Unless you want to turn your Wireshark into a malware detector, I'd stick with .pcap.

I bet the correct answer is Option D, .pcap. It's the file format that Wireshark uses, and it's the industry standard for network traffic analysis. Anything else would be like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

I always make sure to save my fw monitor output files as .pcap for easy analysis in Wireshark.

Option C, .tgz? What is this, a compressed Linux archive? I'm pretty sure that's not what we're looking for here. Definitely going with Option D, .pcap.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. Option B, .exe? Really? I think that's for executable files, not network captures. I'll have to go with Option D, .pcap.

I'm going to go with Option A. .cap is a common file extension used for network capture files, and it's been around for a while.

I'm not sure, but I think A) .cap could also be a valid option for Wireshark

Option D seems the most logical choice. Wireshark is a popular network analysis tool, and .pcap is the standard file format it uses to capture and analyze network traffic.
