An administrator lacks permissions to a subset of resources by a filter due to role and scope-based security settings. The administrator selects the filter in the console.
What will the administrator see in the list pane of this filter?
I'm going with option C, but only because I don't want to end up in the 'access denied' corner, if you know what I mean. That's like the timeout corner of the exam room.
I'm torn between C and D. I mean, it could go either way, right? The system might just show the resources the admin can see, or it might just say 'nope, not happening'.
Option D seems a bit too harsh. I'm sure the system would at least try to give the admin some information, rather than just a flat-out 'access denied' message.
I was thinking option B at first, but then I realized that wouldn't really make sense. If the admin lacks permissions, they shouldn't be able to see all the resources, even in read-only mode.
Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'm going to go with option C - only the resources the administrator has permissions to see. That makes the most sense to me.
