Haha, Jon must be new to Jira if he's struggling with this. I bet the answer is B - he needs the View Users project permission to see that user list.

This is a classic Jira configuration problem. My money's on C - the field security permissions need to be set up properly for the Comment field.

D sounds like the culprit to me. The autocomplete renderer is probably what's causing the problem with the user list not showing up.

Hmm, this seems to be a permission issue. I'd guess it's either A or B, since he can't see the list of users to mention.

He should check with the Jira admin to make sure he has the necessary permissions.

I believe option D could also be a possibility, if the Comment field is not set to Autocomplete Renderer, Jon may not see the list of available users.
