You have investigated different possibilities and selected four of them to present to IT management. Which of the proposals will you most likely give your highest recommendations? 3 credits
Option E: Hire a team of trained monkeys to randomly press buttons on the keyboard. It might not be the most reliable, but it'll be the most entertaining to watch!
Option D seems a bit risky to me. Relying on just two team members to get up to speed on a new tool and build the entire regression suite isn't the most robust plan.
I like the sound of option C. Having the development team build the regression package using CppUnit could be a cost-effective and efficient solution. They know the codebase best, after all.
Option B looks tempting, but I'm not sure about outsourcing such a critical function to an Asian company. The time zone difference and communication challenges could be a nightmare.
I'd go with option A. Insourcing the test automation with a local specialist company seems like the best fit for our needs. They can work closely with Vicki and provide the necessary training.
