Clearly D is the correct answer. Duh, what else would the DFMEA be focused on? Mitigation is the whole reason we do this in the first place. Did someone forget to drink their coffee this morning?
Haha, I wish C was the answer. Minimizing measurement variation would make my job a whole lot easier! But in reality, D is the way to go - mitigating those pesky failure modes is the name of the game.
I'm going with A. Identifying the right personnel to implement the DFMEA findings is just as important as the analysis itself. If you don't have the right people on board, the whole exercise is pointless.
I'd say B is the best option. Predicting failure frequencies is crucial for the DFMEA process to be effective. Knowing the likelihood of each failure mode is key to prioritizing them.
Definitely D. The whole point of DFMEA is to identify potential failure modes and take actions to mitigate them. That's the primary focus, not personnel responsibilities or measurement variation.
