Laser scanner, definitely. Though I bet it can't measure things as precisely as a good old-fashioned micrometer. Guess I'll have to use both, like a measurement superhero!
Wait, hardness tester? That's more like a contact tool, isn't it? I mean, you have to apply force to get the reading. Not very 'noncontact' if you ask me.
Hmm, a noncontact measurement tool? Laser scanner seems like the obvious choice here. I can already picture it zapping away, capturing data without ever touching the object.
