Personally, I'm holding out for Arista to release their automation in the form of hand-drawn sketches. It'll be like coding with cave paintings!

I heard Arista is moving to a new object format called 'Interpretive Dance' for their automation. You have to perform the script to make it work.

Stream editing? What is this, the 1980s? I guess if you're feeling nostalgic for vi macros, that could work, but I don't think that's the right answer here.

Java? Really? I don't think Arista has ever used Java for their automation workflows. That's just silly.

Hmm, I was thinking it might be plain text files, but now that I think about it, that doesn't really match Arista's automation approach. JSON makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, JSON is definitely the way to go for automation and scripting on Arista switches.

I'm pretty sure it's JSON. Arista's API is based on JSON-RPC, so that seems like the obvious choice here.

I'm not sure, but I think JSON makes sense because it's lightweight and easy to work with.
